Finally Taken Into Custody A Mason Man Fleeing From Police Authorities Who Hit Car in Massachusetts Homes
A man from Mason was taken into custody after reportedly fleeing from authorities and ramming into a residence in Massachusetts. Latest News from TOWNSEND, Massachusetts: On Saturday morning, a guy from New Hampshire was taken into custody after reportedly fleeing from law enforcement and crashing into a residence in Massachusetts.
Dennis Legere, 46, of Mason, was taken into custody by the police in Townsend. He was charged with designated lanes violation, operating to endanger, driving under the influence of liquor second offense, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failing to stop for police.
A gray 2021 Buick Encore was allegedly seen speeding near the Lunenburg town line just before 5 a.m. on Saturday when a Townsend police officer tried to pull over the vehicle near the town boundary with Lunenburg. According to the police, the driver, later determined to be Legere, allegedly refused to stop.

The officer chased the vehicle briefly before deciding to pull over for safety reasons. A short time later, the police were informed that a car that matched the description of the one that was involved in the attempted traffic stop had smashed into a house on Elm Street.
The residence did receive some damage, and the building inspector will analyze the home to determine its structural stability, according to the police. However, no one in the house reported any injuries to the authorities.
According to the police, Legere was driving under the influence of alcohol, while the Leominster Police Department also wanted him on crimes unrelated to the incident.

According to the police, Legere was transported to Nashoba Valley Medical Center, where he received treatment before being turned over to the custody of the Townsend Police Department. The Townsend police took him into custody early on Saturday morning, and the bail was set at $5,000.
