Andrew Wiggins Come Back, When Does He Plan to Return?
Andrew Wiggins, when does he plan to return? Why Doesn’t He Join the Warriors? Despite missing his 22nd straight game on Sunday, Andrew Wiggins appears to be close to returning to action for the Warriors. The 28-year-old forward for the Warriors who broke out last season and was voted into the starting lineup at the All-Star game has not played since February 13. He is currently listed as inactive on the Warriors’ injury report due to personal commitments.
The Warriors’ road loss to the Nuggets on Sunday dropped their record to 41-38, good for fifth place in the Western Conference and safe from the Play-In Tournament by virtue of their half-game lead over the Lakers and Pelicans. The Warriors have gone 12-10 without Wiggins in 22 contests. After playing a significant role in the Golden State Warriors 2022 NBA Finals run (Wiggins was the Warriors’ second-best player behind Stephen Curry), the former No. 1 overall pick has had a disappointing year.

Wiggins had missed 20 of the team’s first 49 games this season due to being on and off the roster. He was sidelined for 15 games in December because of an adductor strain, and he’s also had to deal with a persistent foot problem and an illness that wasn’t the flu or a cold. When he’s on the court, he averages 17.1 points per game while also playing solid defense and making 39.6 percent of his 3-point attempts, which is a career-high. Wiggins is crucial for the Warriors’ successful defense of their championship.
