Avengers 6 Could Break MCU Record After Weirdest Cameo in 2023
Avengers: Secret Wars will break a significant record thanks to the veteran Marvel actor’s comeback in the most surprising MCU twist of 2023. Teyonah Parris’s Monica Rambeau became stuck in a completely different universe, and the Marvel credits scene returned Kelsey Grammer’s mutant genius Beast back to the Marvel timeline.
Also, that unexpected crossover might soon break a significant Marvel acting record. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) features some characters who have been around for a long time, despite the deaths of many of them and the permanent retirement of many others.
After making their Iron Man debuts in 2008, Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury are still going strong in 2023. Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, and Mark Ruffalo are all likely to make a comeback soon.
But in theory, another set of characters has an even longer tenure because of the universe and returning characters from pre-MCU films. Jennifer Garner will have played Elektra in two different films, separated by 19 years and 111 days when she resurfaces in Deadpool 3. Furthermore, Beast’s comeback in a future MCU film might go much further.
Kelsey Grammer Could Steal The MCU’s Appearance Record In Secret Wars
The conclusion of Marvel establishes a future for Kelsey Grammer’s seasoned Beast in the MCU, along with other cast members from the first X-Men films. Of course, there’s a chance that she’ll make a comeback in Captain Marvel 3, a spin-off centred on Monica Rambeau, or perhaps the X-Men film from the MCU.
However, considering the multiverse plot at the centre of the comics event, there’s a good likelihood it will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, which released in 2027. Grammer’s first and next confirmed Beast appearances would be a significant 21-year difference if Beast makes a comeback in Avengers: Secret Wars.
With roles in Spider-Man in 2001 and No Way Home in 2021, Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe currently share the record for the longest Marvel film tenures at 19 years and 225 days.
Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson would challenge Maguire and Dafoe’s record if he made an appearance in Secret Wars, but Beast, who debuted in X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006, would take the lead.

Why Beast’s Most Likely MCU Return Is In Secret Wars
Given the expected focus on universes colliding and a satisfying resolution to the concept of multiverse invasions, it seems quite likely that Beast will make a comeback in the next Avengers: Secret Wars.
The key point about incursions is that they cause multi-dimensional chaos, even though The Marvels altered their operation following Doctor Strange’s initial description of them in the Multiverse of Madness.
It makes perfect sense to include Beast and the X-Men’s universe in that, even after Monica Rambeau sealed the split between the realities. Secret Wars seems like a good match, especially since there’s no word on a straight sequel to The Marvels and the concept of the MCU’s first X-Men film with the original ensemble seems so out of place.
Even though the Fox X-Men ensemble is quite popular, the characters don’t have much durability because of how old they are. Furthermore, it seems improbable that the MCU X-Men film will arrive before Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027—it hasn’t even been officially confirmed yet. See the tweet for more details:
Along with #Loki, #Thor will also die in #AvengersTheKangDynasty. #Kang will kill him. He’ll return as a variant along with the 5 other OG #Avengers from 2012. All 6 of them will return as different versions that came from 2012 in Secret Wars… pic.twitter.com/r9FJcAacI8

Even Without Secret Wars, Kelsey Grammer Could Beat Tobey Maguire’s Record
Kelsey Grammer might still shatter Maguire and Dafoe’s record in 2027 if it turns out that he won’t be making a comeback. In order for Grammer to surpass the record of 19 years and 225 days set by No Way Home, he would have to make an appearance in an MCU film or television series after December 28, 2025.
That would mean that before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty opens on May 1, 2026, all presently planned upcoming MCU films would not be able to go ahead. However, Marvel may still make new announcements in the interim.
Given the apparent inclusion of Fox World characters, Deadpool 3 most definitely has the potential of being Kelsey Grammer’s comeback; yet, Monica Rambeau’s involvement would be shocking.
However, it’s still more likely that Beast and Rambeau will make an appearance in an unannounced film, which means Kelsey Grammer will break the MCU character record if it comes out after December 28, 2025.
