Christopher Walken was born Ronald Walken on March 31, 1943, in Astoria, Queens, New York. Ronald Walken is his given name, but he is better known by his nicknames, Chris and Ronnie. His mother, Rosalie Russell, is a Scottish immigrant from Glasgow, and his father, Paul Walken, owns Walken’s Bakery in Astoria and is originally from Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Walken grew up in a Methodist family with two brothers, Kenneth and Glenn Wälken.
