David Goggins began his military career in 1994 after failing his ASVAB twice. He was eventually accepted into training. But because he had a disease called sickle cell trait, he couldn’t dive into the water and had to find another job.
He left the United States Air Force after joining (the TACP). David Goggins graduated from BUD/S training with the Class of 235 in 2001 and was assigned to SEAL Team Five.
