Doctor Strange Plot
Dormammu will be able to invade Earth and grant eternal life to his zealots if Kaecilius has the power to destroy the three Sanctum Sanctorum located in London, New York, and Tokyo at the same time. The new librarian, Wong (Benedict Wong), is introduced to Stephen Strange as he continues his practice of summoning astral planes, portals, weapons, etc. After noticing Strange’s desire to learn, Wong provides him with reading material that will help him become a Sorcerer.
The Ancient One’s immortality is a mystery that Strange tries to solve with help from Mordo, but Mordo tells him not to question the Ancient One. To satisfy his curiosity, Strange recreates the two pages torn by Kaecilius using the Eye of Agamotto, only to discover the truth about his impending death at the hands of Dormammu’s vengeance. Mordo and Wong confront Strange about the duties of a sorcerer, and Strange responds by questioning them.

In the wake of the deaths of his loved ones, Kaecilius believes that everyone should live as long as the Ancient One, and Mordo and Wong compare Strange’s arrogant yearning for power to that of Kaecilius. They explain the origins of Dormammu and how, while the Avengers guard against physical harm, the sorcerers guard against spiritual peril.
To keep the world safe from Dormammu, Agamotto created three Sanctums. Wong then demonstrates the three Sanctums. To add insult to injury, Wong and Mordo are forced to flee the New York Sanctum when Kaecilius attacks the London Sanctum.
