Gravity Falls Season 3: Everything You Need to Know!

One of Disney Channel’s most popular animated series, Gravity Falls, returns for Season 3. The show premiered in June of 2012 and ran for two seasons until being cancelled in February of 2016 for lack of interest. The show’s writing, characters, humour, and appeal to viewers of all ages have all been acclaimed by critics.

A broad range of youngsters, teenagers, and young adults have become fans of the show. Three Annie Awards and a BAFTA Children’s Award have also been granted to the film. In Gravity Falls, the plot of Dipper and Mabel Pines centres around their adventurous experience. Gravity Falls, Oregon, is the site for their summer vacation, where they will stay with their great-uncle Stan. Paranormal occurrences and odd creatures abound in the community. As a result, the kids aid their uncle Stan in maintaining a tourist attraction named “The Mysterious Shack” and investigating local mysteries at the same time.

Is the Third Season of Gravity Falls in the Works?

Unfortunately, Alex Hirsch, the show’s creator, has no aspirations for a third season of the show. He made the statement that the second season of the animated series would be its final one in November of 2015.

As a side point, he indicated that Disney had not cancelled the show. It was only his opinion, and he had every right to have it. “Wierdmageddon 3: Take back the Falls” was the hour-long finale of the highly appreciated series that aired in February 2016. Hirsh also promised that the venerable show would be renewed for new episodes and specials.

Hirsch also announced in February 2018 the publication of a graphic novel titled “Gravity Falls: Lost Legends.” The show’s storyline was continued in the graphic novel, which was published in July 2018 and continues to this day. The Disney Channel also showed “Amphibian,” a show inspired by Gravity Falls. Matt Braly wrote, plotted, and directed it.

Bill Cipher, the antagonist from Gravity Fall, was revived by Hirsh for the Simpsons episode “Bart’s in Jail.” Because of this, there will be many more episodes and character introductions in the near future for fans to look forward to. In addition, Gravity Falls Season 3 will not be brought back by Hirsh.

What Occurred During the Finale?

In the Season 2 finale, called Wierdmageddon, Stan’s brother Ford heard about Bill Cipher’s plot to seize control of Gravity Falls. With the support of Stan and the rest of the Mystery Shack’s inmates (as well as some unusual creatures), the party battled back against Bill. While they recaptured the town, a final encounter with Bill left the Pines family dead and distraught.

Characters

As a 12-year-old, Jason Ritter portrayed Dipper Pines in the series. And Kristen Schaal played Mabel Pines, while Alex Hirsch represented Stanley Pines and Soos Ramirez and Bill Cipher, respectively. Stanford Pines was represented by JK Simmons, while Wendy Corduroy was voiced by Linda Cardellini.
