Temetrius Jamel Morant was born on August 10, 1999 in Dalzell, South Carolina, United States. Both his parents were athletes; his father, Tee Morant, was Ray Allen’s high school teammate and later played basketball for Claflin University. Morant’s mother, Jamie, was a point guard in high school and went on to play semi-professional softball in college.
