The Ayakashi was an Ogre and had different plans for Aoi Tsubaki than Aoi Tsubaki had planned for herself. Ogre Odanna took her and said her dead grandfather had to pay him and he was in debt. Odanna wants Aoi Tsubaki to marry him, but Aoi Tsubaki doesn’t want to do it. However, she agrees to Plan B, which is to work at Odanna’s inn, the Tenjin’ya, to pay back the money that she owes.
In the description of the anime on the streaming service Crunchyroll, it says that it is about a group of people who live together “Aoi, a girl who can see spirits called ayakashi, lost her grandfather.
