According to Plainfield police, a 13-year-old girl was kidn@pped and s*xually ass@ulted by a man from Massachusetts. Local police reported on Wednesday that a Massachusetts man, who had been accused of kidn@pping and s*xually ass@ulting a teenage girl in March, is facing additional charges related to the same incident.
According to police reports, officers were dispatched to a residence in the Moosup area of town at approximately 12:30 a.m. on March 18th in response to a report of a 13-year-old girl who had gone missing.
Despite conducting searches of the residence and its vicinity, as well as utilizing a K-9 unit to track her scent, authorities were unable to locate her, according to law enforcement officials.
Police have reported that following interviews, it has been determined that a man took a young girl. The man has since been identified as Connor Tidd, a 22-year-old resident of Quincy, Massachusetts. According to police, the Plainfield Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit was summoned to offer aid at the location.

Police have reported that investigators were able to establish a perimeter around the Elite Inn located at 66 East Main St. after determining that Tidd had transported the girl to the location. Tidd’s room was subsequently pinpointed by the investigators.
According to the police, upon Tidd’s failure to comply with verbal commands, investigators entered the room and discovered the girl in the bathroom. Tidd was found hiding behind the doorway in an attempt to evade authorities.
Police have reported that during the execution of search-and-seizure warrants, they discovered “several pieces of evidence establishing the probable cause of s*xual and narc0tic-related crimes” in both the room and car belonging to Tidd.

According to police, the suspect was arraigned at the state Superior Court in Danielson on March 20 and was held on a bond of $150,000. According to police reports, Tidd could post a bond of $250,000 despite the increased amount set during the hearing.
According to the police, the individual was mandated to abide by certain conditions upon his release, including staying within Connecticut and donning a GPS tracking apparatus consistently. Following a thorough investigation, authorities have pursued a second arrest w@rrant against Tidd.
