Rear Admiral Francis X. McDonald, the President of the Academy, issued a statement in which he verified the passing of one of their pupils.
McDonald stated that:
“It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I can confirm a cadet has passed away in our dorms. Until further details are available, we request that the privacy of the family be respected during this difficult time.”
There was currently no new information that could be obtained at this time. On Friday, Galibois is likely to share additional material with the public. The probe is being helped by state police officers assigned to Galibois’ office.
