MTG Divorce Husband Files for Divorce
MTG Divorce Husband: Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s husband filed for divorce a little over a month before the November elections.
According to court records obtained by TMZ, Perry Greene states that the marriage is “irretrievably destroyed” and that the pair has been living apart for some time. After being married in college, they had been together for 27 years and had three children together before deciding to divorce.
Marjorie Taylor Greene is notorious for spreading election denial and extreme conspiracy theories, such as the false claim that Dr. Anthony Fauci personally funded the creation of COVID in a laboratory. High-profile divorce conflicts with the congresswoman’s mission to disseminate Christian nationalist ideas, especially as she faces Democratic challenger Marcus Flowers in Georgia’s next re-election.
Internet users aren’t feeling very sympathetic: “Marjorie Taylor Greene, who followed Parkland massacre sufferers, would like the public to respect her privacy at this tough time,” reads one tweet. But in the press, she and Perry are playing nice. Both parties have issued statements affirming their commitment to family life.
Over the past 29 years, Marjorie has been my closest confidante and a wonderful mother. In an interview with The Hill, Perry stated. Our three amazing children, their futures, and our friendship will remain our primary concerns while we pursue our own destinies.
Marjorie Taylor Greene said, “I’m a great believer in marriage” and “marriage is a lovely thing.” “Our culture is established by a husband and wife building a family to love and protect,” she said in a statement. We started a family with Perry and have three wonderful children. He gave me the finest job title you can possibly earn: Mom.”
Since the divorce papers would “contain sensitive personal and financial information, the public revelation of which would significantly influence the parties’ private interests,” Perry asks the court to seal them.
He also seeks an equal division of the couple’s assets. The lawmaker has apparently moved on with her life, as seen by a recent campaign ad in which she dons a weapon and shoots wild hogs from a helicopter.
