After its debut in the summer of 2017, Ozark was compared to Breaking Bad and lambasted for its lack of originality. That’s a term that can never be used to describe one of Netflix’s most exciting series, which has lasted for four seasons and six years. The Byrde family was on the verge of sobriety the last time we saw them. In the end, Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy (Laura Linney) managed to secure a deal with the Navarro cartel and the FBI. A five-year immunity agreement between the FBI and Felix Solis, who was running the cartel at the time, allowed Solis and his team to take down Omar Navarro (Felix Solis) while simultaneously profiting from all of those cash seizures. Omar finally agreed to these stipulations, much to the Byrdes’ chagrin.

At this point, it was time for Agent Maya Miller (played by Jessica Frances Dukes). Outraged that the US was working with a known drug lord, Maya organized an operation to detain Omar and take him into custody. Because of this, Marty and Wendy were forced to take their bargain to Omar’s unstable nephew, Javi (Alfonso Herrera). However, Marty was beaten as a result of the bargaining. Marty and Wendy have eventually been freed from the cartel thanks to Javi’s agreement to the FBI’s bargain.

But we’re talking about Javi here. This guy isn’t satisfied with just slapping his business partner in the face. Javi killed Darlene (Lisa Emery) and Wyatt (Charlie Tahan) towards the end of “Sanctified” in vengeance for Darlene’s heroin sales. During the first episode of Season 4, Part 1, Ruth (Julia Garner) learned the truth about her cousin’s death. All of our favorite characters could die if she gets her revenge. You’ll want to keep in mind the tremendous stakes of this last episode.
