Arajo was born in Rivera, a city near the Brazil border to a Uruguayan father and a Brazilian mother. He previously played for Huracán de Rivera before joining Rentistas. On September 24, 2016, he debuted with the former after coming on as a substitute in the second half of a 1-0 away win over Tacuarembó in the Segunda División.
On December 9, 2016, Arajo scored his debut goal at the senior level, scoring the game-tying goal in a 2-2 home tie against Central Espaol. In the 2017 season, he established himself as a first-team starter and scored a hat trick in a 3-2 road victory over Villa Espaola on June 17.
