According to the source, Selena isn’t actively dating anyone at the moment. Aside from being more receptive to romantic interest, she is currently preoccupied with herself and her career. They continued, “She’s in a very healthy place. Psychically, emotionally, and physiologically, she is doing great. The more positive feedback, the better! So, while we don’t have any new juicy intel about her relationship status—her past beaus are pretty interesting in themselves.

Maybe this was just wishful thinking on the part of fans, as when we all hoped Chris and Lizzo were dating, but reports of a romance between Selena and Chris surfaced in 2021. Fans started a rumour after Chris shared a video to Instagram in which they claimed to see Selena, sparking a possible romance between the two of them. Sadly, to this day, neither Chris nor Selena have addressed the rumours or verified anything, so we’ll never know for sure. Still, we can keep on hoping.
Selena Gomez & The Weekend (2017)
After dating Justin for four years starting in 2011, Selena dated the Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) for ten months in 2017. Having made their relationship Instagram official in January, the couple first appeared together publicly in May of the same year. A source told People(opens in new tab) in October that the two had split up: “It’s over for now, but they’re still in touch.” Whether or not Selena and Justin got back together after her split from the Weekend and before Justin reconciled with Hailey is a matter of some debate.
