The bodies of Kiryl Schukin, 37, and Pavel Vekshin, 28, were discovered early Saturday morning at a storage unit in Brighton, Massachusetts, according to a press statement from the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office. Both victims died from stab wounds.
Leonid Volkov, 37, was taken into custody as a result. The district attorney’s office claimed that Volkov knew both suspects. On Friday, police raided a storage facility in Brighton following a search warrant. The district attorney’s office claims the defendant rented the apartment in the name of one of the victims.
Once inside, investigators found Schukin and Vekshin’s bodies in rubber totes. It has been said that Schukin was dismembered. The district attorney’s office reported that investigators located bleach, rubber gloves, and other items belonging to the victims.
Medford Police Department Chief Buckley said in a statement on Facebook:
“In this particular case where the subjects are known to each other and we have the suspect in custody, we strongly believe there is no danger to the community,”
