Tay-K (Taymor Travon McIntyre) is an American rapper and convicted killer who was born on June 16, 2000. “The Race,” his No. 44 Billboard Hot 100 hit from 2017, was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in January 2018. He is most recognized for the song. When he was apprehended in Elizabeth, New Jersey, after an international manhunt, the song went viral.

McIntyre was apprehended by US marshals on June 30, 2017, the same day “The Race” was released, after a three-month manhunt. Later on, the song was certified platinum. After being moved to Texas for his crimes, McIntyre began to receive support from his supporters on social media. Since his release from Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth, Texas on July 29, 2017, Tay-management K’s firm has received mostly positive feedback from critics and fans alike.

As a result of his involvement in the 2016 home invasion and robbery that resulted in the death of 21-year-old Ethan Walker, McIntyre was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 55 years in prison in July 2019. On June 16, 2000, Taymor Travon McIntyre was born in Long Beach, California.

McIntyre’s father moved the family to Arlington, Texas, after his release from prison in the hopes of a better environment. McIntyre was a ninth-grade dropout at Martin High School. He drew inspiration from artists like Chief Keef, Eazy-E, and Soulja Boy, a personal favorite.

Tay-K will spend a long period in prison and will not be released anytime soon. Even though he’s only been incarcerated for almost four years, it appears that his sentence is getting longer. Tay-K gained notoriety in 2017 for his song “The Race,” which he recorded while evading the police in 2016 after committing a robbery. After the authorities caught up with him in 2019, he was sentenced to prison.

In July 2019, Tay-K was sentenced to 55 years in jail for the 2016 murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker. Additionally, he was sentenced to two terms of imprisonment in the range of 30 years for aggravated robbery and 13 years each for the other two offenses. Tay’s 55-year murder sentence will run concurrently with the 30-year sentence and the two 13-year periods.

While the rhymer was on the run, he was suspected of a second murder. Mark Saldiva, 23, was shot and killed outside a Chic-Fil-A in San Antonio, Texas, in June 2017. Tay-K was detained in connection with his death. Lon Evans Correctional Facility in Texas was the final known location of his detention.

Tay-K was also charged with aggravated assault in connection with an alleged attack on an elderly man at an Arlington, Texas park. Tay-K is alleged to have filed an appeal against his 55-year sentence in July of this year.
