Tiffany was only three years old when her father abandoned the family, making it difficult for her mother to raise multiple children; as a result, Tiffany’s mother, Leola, remarried. Haddish grew up in South Central Los Angeles with four siblings, including two half-sisters and two half-brothers.
Tiffany’s mother, Leola, owned a small business, but things changed for the family when Leola was involved in a car accident and suffered brain damage in 1988.
