Big statement of the Russian leader: Ukraine has taken back part of the settlement located north of Bakhmut

According to Russian leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, the retaking of Berkhivka by the Ukrainian army north of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine was a “disgrace” on Monday.

After the war’s bloodiest month, Prigozhin’s private Wagner militia conquered Bakhmut and handed it over to regular Russian troops the month prior. Ukrainian forces maintained their assaults on neighborhoods on the city’s outskirts.

Now that a sizable chunk of the town of Barkhivka has been destroyed, the soldiers are leaving quietly. Disgrace!” Prigozhin stated in an audio message released by his office’s media relations department.

He requested that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov lead by example and address the troops in person.

The words, “Come on, you can do it!” They claimed. “And if you can’t, you’ll die a hero.”

Prigozhin publicly feuded with Shoigu and Gerasimov for months, accusing them of neglecting to adequately supply Wagner with ammunition and support on the field, leading to the division’s avoidable high losses.
