It’s been nearly two years since the third season was originally scheduled to premiere on Netflix, but it’s finally here.
Even though the release date is still a month away, we already know a lot about what’s to come.
Following season 2 of the Umbrella Academy’s time-traveling adventure, the season 2 finale introduced the Sparrow Academy as a new character type.
Additionally, it was recently revealed that Elliot Page’s character will come out as transgender in season 3 of Life & Beth, joining the already impressive ensemble that includes Justin Cornwell (Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey), Jake Epstein (Degrassi), and Cazzie David (Life & Beth).
When Page came out as transgender in 2020, he captioned a photo of his new season character, Viktor Hargreaves, “Meet Viktor Hargreaves.” Also on Twitter, Netflix wrote: “Welcome to the family, Viktor—we’re so happy you’re here. Thank you for joining us!”

Who Is Starring in the Umbrella Academy Season 3?
All the members of the Umbrella Academy are returning for season 3, along with Ritu Arya as Lila Pitts, Colm Feore as Reginald Hargreeves, and Page, Tom Hopper, Robert Sheehan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin H. Min.
Who is joining the cast of The Umbrella Academy season 3?
The Sparrow Academy, a new group of superheroes, will be introduced to the Umbrella Academy in the season 2 finale. The new Sparrow Academy will feature actors Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Genesis Rodriguez, Jake Epstein, Cazzie David, and Javon “Wanna” Walton in addition to Min as Ben.
In March, Netflix released the first images of the cast in character.

What will The Umbrella Academy season 3 be about?
According to a press release, Netflix stated that season 3 of The Umbrella Academy will focus on the conflict between the two academies following the Umbrella Academy’s belief that they prevented the 1963 apocalypse.
“The Sparrow Academy is now open to the public. In a violent confrontation that turns out to be the least of anyone’s concerns, the Sparrows and Umbrellas immediately clash in a stylish and about as warm as an iceberg sea “Reads a logline. “All they have to do now is convince Dad’s new family, who may be better, to help them fix what their arrival caused to go awry. Will they ever be able to return to their normal lives? This new world may reveal more than a snag in the timeline.”
The episode titles for Season 3 were revealed by Netflix in June 2021 and may provide additional hints about what’s to come.
“Meet the Family,” “World’s Biggest Ball of Twine,” “Pocket Full of Lightning,” “Kugelblitz,” “Kindest Cut,” “Marigold,” “Auf Wiedersehen,” “Wedding at the End of the World,” “Six Bells,” and “Oblivion” are the episodes’ titles, in order of appearance.

When will The Umbrella Academy season 3 be released on Netflix?
Filming for the third season began in February 2021 and will wrap up in August 2021, according to the production schedule.
A new season of the show was teased in March, and it will premiere on June 22nd, according to Netflix.
Will there be a season 4 of The Umbrella Academy?
Netflix hasn’t confirmed whether or not The Umbrella Academy will return for a second season. My Chemical Romance frontman and comic book series creator Gerard Way has previously hinted that there will be eight volumes in the series. This means there will be plenty of material for the TV adaptation.
