A prolific author, he kept churning out bestsellers like “The Sky’s the Limit,” “Excuses Begone,” and “Wishes Fulfilled” even as he kept up his other pursuits. He cites Abraham Maslow, St. Francis of Assisi, and Lao Tzu as teachers who influenced his own. As his literary career progressed, he was invited to make appearances on many talk shows, including “The Phil Donahue Show,” “The Tonight Show,” and “The Merv Griffin Show.” After a while, Wayne’s popularity grew as he began hosting television shows and receiving invitations to other events.
